Trauma Breakthrough

Trauma Breakthrough is a small UK charity for survivors of trauma and abuse, and exists to support the 1-in-5 who experience trauma (childhood abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, and traumatic incidents) during their lifetime. Breakthrough provide specialist services across the South West offering individual and group therapy, wellbeing groups, activity groups, an emergency call-out service, and survivor-led peer befriending; as well as training for friends & family, businesses, churches and other community organisations in how to support those struggling with their mental health.


Through partnering with the Pixel Fund, Breakthrough have been able to start a therapy group specifically for young people aged 18-25 with a focus on early intervention with destructive coping mechanisms and helping young people work through their difficulties and process traumatic experiences is a safe and encouraging environment with peers who truly understand and can journey with them to recovery.
