Sirona Therapeutic Horsemanship

Sirona Therapeutic Horsemanship is a small charity based in Devon providing equine-assisted therapeutic and educational activities to vulnerable young people who have suffered adverse childhood experiences or have other support needs, such as those with mental health issues, difficulties at school, autistic spectrum, ADHD or other challenges. Young people learn how to care for horses and ponies located in a beautiful natural environment, supported by professional therapists and teachers in order to improve well-being together with emotional and social benefits, so leading to more positive life outcomes.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Sirona is receiving unprecedented demand from young people struggling with their mental health. We are very grateful for a grant from The Pixel Fund which will go towards providing subsidised equine-assisted sessions for more young people to be able to attend our provision.
