The Wizzybug Loan Scheme provides free fun, powered wheelchairs called Wizzybugs to children under 5 living in the UK.
Wizzybug offers young disabled children fun, independence and freedom of movement, often for the first time in their lives.
It has been designed for children aged 14 months – around 5 years (a maximum weight of 20kg) to explore indoors and outdoors.
Designability, a national disability charity, have provided Wizzybugs to children living with cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy, spina bifida and muscular dystrophy, as well as children with amputations.
Wizzybugs exist to help children with any condition or developmental delay which affects their ability to walk, including those who do not yet have a diagnosis.
The Wizzybugs are fully funded by donations which enables us to give them to young children to use until they outgrow it.
