Our autism assistance programme is life-changing for both the child with autism and their family. Autism assistance dogs are trained to provide safety and to facilitate a more independent and socially inclusive life for both the child with autism and their family.
Our dogs help to reduce stress for the whole family, promote positive changes including reducing behavioural outbursts and dangerous behaviour like bolting when upset. 100% of the families we work with report that in the first few weeks of being partnered with an autism assistance dog the family see a huge improvement in the child’s mental health and communication skills.
In the UK 1 in 100 children have been diagnosed with autism with the help of wonderful supporters like The Pixel Fund we are helping to reach more of these children and their families to change their lives forever.
